Invitation Only Tryout Sessions

To ensure the most professional tryout environment possible, the team selection process for our U16 (2009) to U19 (2006) age groups will be conducted through invitation only tryout sessions. A full schedule of these sessions can be found below. 

Please note the following regarding these tryout sessions:

• Players currently on an RU roster, or in the DP program
  • Must register for and attend their respective tryout sessions to be considered for placement on a 24/25 roster or within the 24/25 DP program
• Current Richmond Kickers and Richmond Strikers players
  • Must receive an invitation to attend RU tryouts to be considered for placement on a 24/25 roster or within the 24/25 DP program
  • Invitations will be sent in late February, based on our ongoing and continuous internal talent identification processes
  • Only players who have received an invitation to attend tryouts should proceed to complete the tryout registration linked below
• Players currently outside of Richmond United, Richmond Kickers, and Richmond Striker
  • Must receive an invitation prior to attending RU tryouts, however, these players should proceed in completing the tryout registration linked below
  • Outside players are also required to complete this player information form, to provide greater context regarding their current team and individual playing experience
  • Note that completion of the registration and player information forms do not guarantee invitation to attend tryouts
    • Selected players will be contacted on March 1, 2024 and invited to participate in tryout sessions
  • Note, due to ECNL rules, players from outside the Richmond United umbrella will not be contacted regarding tryouts prior to March 1, 2024
